Summers in Maine were great part of growing up.
My Grandmother's favorite thing to do was to take us out on the mailboat out to the Cranberry Isles. She'd sit and watch the water and boats for hours, as my sister and I searched for sand dollars and sea glass and swarm in the insanely cold water. I love the bits of glass worn smooth by years of wear in the ocean.
Now, when I return to Maine with my own kids, I can't quite make myself get in that water, but I still look for seaglass. This is a piece of glass I found on one of those trips.
I really need to make more of these.
